So apparently it is a lot of fun for experienced parents to test the skills of new, inexperienced parents:
We got this great package from Misu, Greg and Mazy from Toronto. A very cute hat + vest, 2 sweet little books, some post-its and tadatada.....Canucks pj's for Niko! Needless to say that Juma got really, really excited. And even though Niko was a little cranky at 7pm, we had to put the pj's on immediately.
Although the post-it had already warned us that the pj's might be a little small, we somehow managed to squeeze our son into it. After that, he could only lie still (which was great 'cause the only thing he was supposed to do was fall asleep). It was a built-in swaddle.
Juma insisted he wear the pj's to bed that very night(apparently, hockey playoffs start this week). However, after his late evening feed, mommy had to change his diaper and she just wanted to rip the orca (not shark) pj's apart. The 1000 buttons and the fact that Niko's face was slightly blue was a clear indication that someone had bought potentially great but at this point clearly dangerous pj's.
We still love the pj's (very thoughtful Greg, thank-you, seriously!) and are figuring out a way to make them bigger (we have an amazing tailor here).
Go Canucks Go!
